Terms & Conditions

Terms & Conditions

These terms govern access to sceneworks.io and the digital video templates and creative services supplied by SceneWorks Media LTD (company registration number SC895899).

Last updated: · Company registration number: SC895899

1. Acceptance

By using sceneworks.io, ordering products, receiving files or using our services, you agree to these terms and the policies linked on this site. If you act for a company, team or other organisation, you confirm you are authorised to bind it.

These terms form an agreement with SceneWorks Media LTD. If you do not agree, do not use the site or services.

2. Digital Products & License

We offer editable motion graphics templates, logo reveals, intros, transitions, titles, effects, promotional assets and related digital files. A purchase grants a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence; it does not transfer ownership of the original files.

Unless a product page, our Licenses Policy or a written agreement says otherwise:

  • You may use purchased assets in finished video work for your own channels or one client project, subject to the applicable product licence. Contact us before broadcast distribution, paid advertising, multi-seat use or any broader use not expressly granted.
  • You may adapt the assets for those productions where the applicable licence permits modification.
  • You may not sell, redistribute, sublicense, share or give away the source files as reusable assets.
  • You may not upload source files to marketplaces, stock libraries, shared repositories or file-sharing services for redistribution.
  • You may not claim our original files as your own creation or use them to make competing asset packs.
  • You may not give source files to another creator, team, client or business unless the applicable licence expressly allows it.

Product-specific licence terms shown before purchase apply alongside these terms.

3. Account Responsibilities

If you create an account or use one to buy or access a product, you are responsible for:

  • Keeping login credentials confidential and reporting suspected unauthorised access.
  • Providing accurate, current contact and billing information.
  • Using the account lawfully and protecting downloaded files from unauthorised sharing.
  • Making only authorised payments and complying with applicable laws and these terms.

Do not share your credentials to give others unauthorised access to purchased products.

4. Payments & Billing

Product prices appear on sceneworks.io when you order.

  • Prices may be shown in GBP or another currency indicated at checkout.
  • We may change prices, but a change does not alter an accepted order.
  • Only the payment methods actually offered at checkout are available for that order. A payment provider may handle a selected method; we do not request full card numbers or security codes by email.
  • Promotions may have additional stated conditions.
  • Applicable taxes, duties or charges are shown or handled as required by law.

For an order placed using the manual payment method, the order remains on hold while we contact you at the billing email to arrange payment and confirm delivery details. Digital delivery follows confirmed payment and order processing. We will agree the scope and timing of personalised work before production begins.

5. Intellectual Property

SceneWorks Media LTD or its licensors own the original motion graphics, video templates, designs, source files, previews, site content and other protected materials. Unless we expressly agree otherwise:

  • Your purchase gives you a licence to use an asset, not ownership of its underlying intellectual property.
  • You may not reproduce or distribute original files beyond your licence, sell them as standalone products, place them on asset marketplaces, or build competing commercial packs from them.
  • You may not remove ownership notices or misrepresent who created the underlying assets.

Unauthorised resale, sharing or other exploitation may end the licence and may infringe intellectual property rights.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use our site or products to:

  • Engage in unlawful activity, fraud, impersonation or infringement of another person’s rights.
  • Upload or distribute malware or attempt unauthorised access to accounts or systems.
  • Scrape substantial parts of the site or asset catalogue, or bypass access, download or licence restrictions.
  • Resell or redistribute source files without permission, or otherwise abuse the service.

We may suspend or terminate access where we reasonably believe these terms have been materially violated, subject to applicable law.

7. Digital Delivery & Availability

Digital files are supplied electronically by the method described on the product page, at checkout or in the order confirmation. Some products require manual fulfilment. You are responsible for:

  • Giving a working email address where needed for order communication and delivery.
  • Checking the stated file formats and having compatible software, a suitable device and enough storage.
  • Keeping your own backup copies of delivered files.

We make reasonable efforts to supply products and maintain access, but temporary interruptions may occur. Unless ongoing access is expressly promised, we do not guarantee that a download will remain available indefinitely. Contact us if delivery fails.

8. Product Information & Customization

We aim to describe each product accurately, including included files, formats, dimensions, editable elements, intended uses and any compatibility limits. Appearance can vary with software, renderer, device or display settings.

Unless expressly included in the product description, a standard asset purchase does not include:

  • Custom animation, editing, branding or other commissioned creative work.
  • Individual revisions or installation and project setup.
  • Technical support for every third-party application or guaranteed compatibility with all software and platforms.

For a personalised video package, the scope, formats, deliverables, revisions, timetable, final price and licence are agreed separately in writing. A “from” price is a starting price.

9. Warranties & Disclaimers

To the extent allowed by law, the site and products are supplied as available. We do not guarantee:

  • A specific creative, audience, business or financial result from using an asset.
  • Compatibility with every editing application, renderer, version or platform.
  • Uninterrupted or error-free site access, or that every asset will match individual creative preferences.

Please check the product description for your intended use. These statements do not exclude statutory rights or remedies for digital content that is faulty or does not match its description.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, including lost profits, revenue, data or business opportunities, arising from use of the site, products or services.

Where the law permits a limit, our total liability for a claim concerning a particular purchase will not exceed the amount paid for that purchase.

Nothing here limits liability for fraud, death or personal injury caused by negligence, statutory consumer rights, or any other liability that cannot lawfully be limited.

11. Suspension & Termination

We may suspend or end access where reasonably necessary because of:

  • A material breach of these terms, including unauthorised file sharing or intellectual property infringement.
  • Fraudulent or unauthorised payment activity or abuse of the service.
  • A legal or regulatory requirement.

If a licence ends because of a material breach, stop using the affected files and remove unauthorised copies where reasonably possible. Terms that need to continue, such as accrued payment duties and intellectual property protections, continue after termination. Mandatory rights remain intact.

12. Refunds & Cancellations

Our Refund & Cancellation Policy explains how to request a refund, cancellation or remedy.

Digital-content cancellation rights may depend on when supply began and whether you gave the express consent and acknowledgement required by law. Download or access alone does not replace those steps. Applicable consumer rights always apply.

13. Third-Party Platforms & Services

Our assets may be used with independent video editors, compositing tools, renderers, social platforms, broadcasters and publishing services. We are not responsible for:

  • Changes to those providers’ policies, features, file requirements or compatibility.
  • Their outages or their decision to suspend or restrict an account.

You are responsible for following the terms of any third-party service where you use our assets.

14. Third-Party Links

The site may link to third-party websites, software or services. We do not control their content, availability, privacy practices, security or terms. Your use of them is governed by their own policies.

15. Updates to These Terms

We may update these terms as our products, services, practices, technology or legal requirements change. Updated terms take effect when posted unless a different date is stated.

The terms accepted for an existing purchase continue to govern that order unless you agree otherwise. Continued use after a lawful update takes effect constitutes acceptance to the extent allowed by law.

16. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution

These terms are governed by the laws of Scotland, without removing mandatory consumer protections that apply where you live.

Please contact us first so we can try to resolve a dispute in good faith. If that is unsuccessful, either party may use an appropriate court or legally available dispute procedure. Nothing removes a remedy that cannot be waived.

17. General Provisions

  • Severability: if one provision is unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue.
  • Waiver: not enforcing a provision once does not waive it later.
  • Entire agreement: these terms, product-specific terms, applicable policies and any separate written project agreement govern the relevant service.
  • Assignment: you may not transfer your rights or duties under these terms without our written consent, subject to applicable law.
  • Events beyond reasonable control: we are not responsible for a delay caused by events outside our reasonable control, such as natural disasters, power or network failure, cyber incidents or a third-party service interruption. We will still respect any rights that apply by law.
